About Santou
Santou's profound insights into trauma and loss stem from her family's resilience in the face of Genocide, fuelling her dedication to transforming personal trauma and loss into avenues for growth and preventing suicide. Her unique perspective, shaped by the unwavering will to survive and cherish life seen in her family, and other genocide survivors, empowers her to guide others in valuing their lives and choosing hope over despair.
Santou has credentials as a family therapist, and additional training in suicidology, complicated traumatic grief treatment, end-of-life therapy, healthcare improvement coaching and a Bachelors of Arts in Historical Cultural Studies & Psychology and Master of Divinity in Spiritual Counselling.
While working in the NHS (Acute Healthcare Sector), Santou was nominated for a Trust Hero’s Award for preventing numerous staff suicides. She is also the winner of the 2024 National UK Mental Health & Wellbeing Business Award in the category of Rising Star for her support in healing trauma and loss with private clients.
